Through over ten years of research and exploration, he has developed a unique ceramic craft painting - overglazed color. His works are inspired from life, and his painting techniques skillfully employ both Eastern art and Western realistic techniques. The characteristics of ceramic material are fully leveraged, with the use of both real and imaginary elements to highlight the static with movement. The artistic technique of simplifying with complexity creates a refreshing space for the viewer, with relatively high artistic aesthetic and collection values.

His works have been awarded numerous national prizes and some of them have been collected by museums. His biography of art has been included in dictionaries such as The Dictionary of Outstanding Experts and Talents in the World, The Fourth Longteng Cup Exhibition of Famous Chinese Painters and Calligraphers in Japan, Collection of Fine Works of Chinese Painters and Calligraphers and The First Eight Eccentrics of Yangzhou National Exhibition of Fine Works of Painting and Calligraphy. His works have been highly appreciated by domestic and international collectors.

Making overglaze enameled ceramic plaque painting is more difficult than traditional paper painting, because it has to be fired twice in the kiln and there are risks of cracking or deforming. However, the color enamels used in ceramic plaque painting are more stable and the texture is stronger. Ceramic plaque painting has more layering and is more three-dimensional than paper painting. Moreover, it can be permanently preserved, avoiding insect bites and weathering.

According to legend, there were two brothers who practiced Buddhism in a previous life. The elder brother only practiced Buddhism but did not give alms, while the younger brother gave alms widely but violated the commandments. In this life, the elder brother was reborn as an Arhat, a disciple of the Buddha, but he was always hungry, while the younger brother was thrown into a beast and became an elephant, but with its magnificent body it became the king's favorite white elephant and tasted all kinds of delicacies and wore silk. One day in this life, the elder brother met the elephant who was his younger brother in their previous lives and warned him that they both had sins in their previous lives, and so the elephant did not eat for three days. There is such a folk saying: Giving alms and did not practice Buddhism, the elephant hung gems while practicing Buddhism and did not give alms, the Arhat held an empty bowl in his palm. In this work, the maker depicted an Arhat, an elephant and a clear spring, implying that people should listen to nature, have a clear heart and mind, understand the cycle of cause and effect, and cultivate wisdom as well as benevolence. The maker of this work depicted this traditional Buddhist theme in the western oil painting style with the overglaze pile enameling technique which he invented. The style of this work is innovative and unique, and therefore this work is highly collectable.
