His works are inspired from life, and his painting techniques skillfully employ both Eastern art and Western realistic techniques. The characteristics of ceramic material are fully leveraged, with the use of both real and imaginary elements to highlight the static with movement. The artistic technique of simplifying with complexity creates a refreshing space for the viewer, with relatively high artistic aesthetic and collection values.

His works have been awarded numerous national prizes and some of them have been collected by museums. His biography of art has been included in dictionaries such as The Dictionary of Outstanding Experts and Talents in the World, The Fourth Longteng Cup Exhibition of Famous Chinese Painters and Calligraphers in Japan, Collection of Fine Works of Chinese Painters and Calligraphers and The First Eight Eccentrics of Yangzhou National Exhibition of Fine Works of Painting and Calligraphy. His works have been highly appreciated by domestic and international collectors.

Making overglaze enameled ceramic plaque painting is more difficult than traditional paper painting, because it has to be fired twice in the kiln and there are risks of cracking or deforming. However, the color enamels used in ceramic plaque painting are more stable and the texture is stronger. Ceramic plaque painting has more layering and is more three-dimensional than paper painting. Moreover, it can be permanently preserved, avoiding insect bites and weathering.

Purple Clouds from the East, a sign of good fortune, were originally referred to when Lao Tzu rode the Green Ox into the world and came into view with purple clouds floating from the east.   This ceramic panel painting features the overglaze color technique to depict the traditional Chinese subject of the Purple Clouds from the East in the style of Western oil painting. Lao Tzu, a deity dressed in purple with auspicious symbols, descends from the sky, along with flourishing branches, with innovative content style and integration of ancient and modern.
