From the CEO's Desk: Great to be partnering with Chris Webber as President of Coinllectibles Sports

We are really excited to announce the launch the new Sports division of Coinllectibles with basketball NBA Hall of Famer Chris Webber as President of it.

Sport is an incredibly important part of the collectibles and engagement area quite literally touching everyone in some form.  We have a shared vision to use our digital token of ownership (DOT) technology and the metaverse to bring innovation to the sports space, improving experiences for fans, athletes, teams, events and partners working with sport.

Chris has accomplished so much as an athlete in basketball; through high school, college and the NBA, but it is a lot more than that.  Chris brings an inspirational mix of entrepreneurial spirit, experience and passion to entertainment, areas including music as well as sport.  We are aligned in a mission to use technology to disrupt and enhance the experiences of those stakeholders.  If that sounds ambitious it is meant to be – using a technology driven approach to empower athletes.  How do you use areas of technology and the metaverse to enhance the career of an athlete from NIL deals in high school through to retired players, to work with companies to better leverage investment in sport and to reinforce important social and educational objectives, to name just a few.

The NFT market is now very large with many recognised firms projecting it to be a lot larger yet.  It is an evolving area and encompasses a range of product and opinion.  Coinllectibles has focused on substance of value seeking to use innovation to “fuse” the physical and the virtual medians.   The Digital Token of Ownership (DOT) provides further enhancement for the ownership rights of buyers and in building communities.  Working with Chris, we view the use of the DOT and other technologies as ways to support strategies to provide purpose driven value to disrupt and enhance engagement and experience around sport. In so doing we look forward to working with many partners.

Many sports fans will not need reminding that it is College basketball March Madness season, with 68 top teams and fantastic athletic talent on display – a true festival of a great game.  I must say I love basketball and college sport and all that it entails.  Our first drops out of Coinllectibles Sports will be around college basketball and in areas and content especially selected by Chris.  We look forward to a high degree engagement with regular drops around content and VIP access to experiences.  There will be a lot around basketball that we think people will find exciting but this is going to involve a lot of sports and in a lot of geographies.

I finish by saying thank you to Chris and colleagues for partnering with Coinllectibles.  We are so excited about the alignment in values and good that can be delivered out of our mission at Coinllectibles Sports.  I want to thank the Coinllectibles team for huge efforts in this important step and continue to thank our growing communities of engagement which we trust will see enhanced benefits.  I speak for all of us by saying we are really looking forward to this.
