From the CEO's Desk: Our Singapore Web 5.0 Conference

It was terrific to be back in Singapore for our Web 5.0 Conference. There is a lot at stake in the direction of centralised Web 2.0 and decentralised Web 3.0, and the event provided a great format for open discussion from a lot of perspectives- including creative areas of art and film, technology, legal, and ESG. We did not want to be prescriptive on definition but directionally positioned discussion around a Web 5.0 that contains elements of Centralised and De-fi and that provides interoperability between apps and platforms where users have enhanced user experience, control and ownership to improve how we live.

We are very appreciative to the speakers that joined us, some coming from the US and Europe as well as closer to hand in Singapore and Asia. We ran concurrent sessions across 2 rooms giving the approximate 400 plus attendees good choice on what to listen to.  It was a great opportunity to see DOTs used in different applications. I enjoyed being on varied panels including with the CEO of Swiss watch manufacturer Quinting, with our Founder Dr Herbert Lee's insights in technology and people with passion and background in ESG.  We showed some large screens with very cool 3D technology to allow people to see the DOT in a 3D format as well as without using any kind of 3D goggles.  We will look to more of this in physical settings where people see a physical piece next to a DOT through these screens.

I enjoyed meeting Malaysian Artist Umibaizurah who displayed a range of art at an event hosted by Coinllectibles Director of Art, Terry Lee, at the Art Seasons Gallery, the evening ahead of the conference. During the conference attendees were able to see different forms of art and new areas including special edition watches.  The evening after the conference we held an auction with Singapore’s 33 Auction house that featured a range of contemporary Asia art pieces with DOTs attached.

We look forward to continuing and building the dialogue with partners and stakeholders in this important area of Web development.
